Kundenbewertung: Zusammenfassung: Not UL Listed "what's up with that..." Kommentar: I bought this first alert CO alarm for my home in Wisconsin.
When I started to read the instructions I found that this product is not UL list! How can a safety item like this not be UL listed.
I did some research and found out first alert changed testing labs to save a few bucks and do not use the most well known UL. What's up with that...
So I returned this CO and purchased the Kidde KN-COB-DP-H Plug-In Carbon Monoxide Alarm. The Kidde unit cost less too, so I saved a few dollars! Always pays to READ THE FINE PRINT.
Kundenbewertung: Zusammenfassung: second lousy first alert co detector Kommentar: This is the second First Alert Carbon Monoxide detector we've owned. The first went out in 6 months. This model went out in 1 month. The alarm kept going off. I moved a Kidde model into the room and it showed no carbon monoxide in the air. We chucked the First Alerts into the trash!
Kundenbewertung: Zusammenfassung: carbon monoxide detector Kommentar: This is a wonderful product, it works as the manufacturer said it would. It was easy to install, and gives peace of mind where the threat of carbon monoxide is concerned. Like any other product of this sort, there is a minimum amount of maintenance weekly to make sure the unit is operating properly. I have had other carbon monoxide detectors, but this unit is by far the best. I give it five stars, and would give it more if possible.
Kundenbewertung: Zusammenfassung: makes me feel better, but.... Kommentar: I'm never quite sure if it's working right. I came home one day and it was beeping every couple of minutes so I opened the window and left for a little while. Then it stopped beeping. I'm still here, so I guess it was okay. Read the manual, I lost mine.
Kundenbewertung: Zusammenfassung: Manual for First Alert CO600 Kommentar: The manual is at http://www.firstalert.com/pdfs/2007/06/08/m08-0152-002e_co600_web.pdf
The product is simple and easy to install - just plug it in.
